For some things, you just need to take an ommetje (detour) - and here’s a whole list of them! Our favorite Italian sandwiaround town. Whether you're a focaccia lover or a pizza dough fanatic, we've got it all noted. Ciao for now!
Feduzzi

If you need a good excuse to do your grocery shopping at an Italian trattoria, let this be it: Feduzzi. Once you step inside, you’ll be tempted by authentic Italian products, only to find yourself lingering at the takeaway counter… and suddenly, dinner plans? Changed.
Oh, and while you’re there - treat yourself to a proper Italian-style sandwich. Think rich flavors, generous portions, and the kind of bite that fills your soul as much as your stomach. No need to rush either - grab a seat, sip an espresso, and soak up the atmosphere.
Since 1981, Feduzzi has been Amsterdam’s very first Italian delicatessen, and they’re still going strong. From freshly made pasta and salads to fine wines, cheeses, meats, and the best balsamic and olive oils, this is your go-to for Italian quality.
Throwing a party? Keep them in mind for catering - you won’t regret it.

Dito Deli
De Pijp | Two Friends | Football | Original Combo's
Dito Deli is in the hood! De Pijp has become even tastier with the addition of this yummy deli spot. Their sandwiches, creatively named after AC Milan players, make up their “San Siro” menu - because boys will be boys!
The brains behind Dito Deli? Two friends with a shared love for Italy, soccer, and amazing food. From baking their own bread to whipping up every single sauce, they make everything from scratch. Professional kitchen experience? Nope! These self-taught chefs have turned passion into perfection.
And trust us, it shows. Their spreads burst with flavor, and you can taste the quality in every bite. Also a great shop to score some authentic Italian wine, olive oils etc. Keep winning, guys - we’re rooting for you!
Zero Zero
Center, De Pijp, Zuidas | Famous | Must-visit
By now, Zero Zero has fully settled in Amsterdam - with a trattoria in the city Center, De Pijp and Zuidas. This Italian sandwich shop feels like a little slice of Italy right in the heart of Amsterdam, perfectly positioned between the art galleries and the Rijksmuseum. Whether you're grabbing a bite on the go or lingering over a coffee, it’s the kind of place that keeps you coming back.
The secret? Pizza chef Marco and his incredible dough game. His crispy-yet-fluffy focaccia, with just the right amount of olive oil and salt, is honestly reason enough to stop by. And the sandwiches? Pure magic. Think high-quality ingredients straight from Italy, layered between that perfect focaccia. The permanent line outside says it all, we all love Zero Zero.
Not hungry? No problem. Pick up some beautiful Italian pantry staples, merchandise or just order an espresso from their stunning coffee machine. Either way, Zero Zero is a little love letter to Italian craftsmanship - one bite (or sip) at a time.

This is one of those hidden gems not many people know about… but we’re here to spill the secret. 👀 At Sebastian, they serve insanely good Schiacciata sandwiches—made with pizza dough. Yep, you read that right.
Think crispy, airy, and packed with flavor—basically, if you love pizza, this is your sandwich. Not on the menu, but definitely worth asking for. A true guilty pleasure you didn’t know you needed.
And if this secret sandwich wins you over, come back for lunch or dinner—because the rest of their menu is just as good. Sebastian is a tribute to Italy, where signature recipes, seasonal ingredients, and a love for sharing come together in every dish.

A little corner of Italy, right in Amsterdam. Dough Studio is all about one thing: next-level sandwiches made with freshly baked Italian bread. If you’re serious about carbs (and let’s be real, who isn’t?), this is a place you need to know.
