Last Friday, we grabbed a Rosèl and a John at Rosèl, and let’s just say… we’re still thinking about them. Dreaming about the golden, fresh focaccia piled high with bold, balanced flavors. Comfort food with a refined twist, fine dining on a sandwich.

The duo behind Rosèl both have a background in Hospitality. One runs the show out front, the other has a solid culinary background, including time spent in the kitchen at Caron. A dream team, two friends doing what they love.

We’re certain it’s a great asset to the neighborhood! Oh, and we tried matcha for the first time, with coconut milk and ice!! Their coffee is from @luuks.coffee and they also sell amazing home made cookies! Do we need to say more?

Oud-Zuid | Chique | Fresh meals to stay or go| Deli

New deli in town! Oud-Zuid just got a little fancier with the arrival of this luxurious new traiteur on Beethovenstraat. This charming corner spot stands out with its spectacular interior - warm brown wood, an elegant ambiance, and staff dressed like high-end waiters straight out of a chic Parisian bistro.

You can dine in and enjoy your royally topped sandwich at the bar window or outside, or take it to go in a stylish box and a Harrods-style bag. Whether you’re picking up a fresh, gourmet meal for home or grabbing a quick bite, expect quality, flavor and seasonal ingredients and dishes like Pissaladière with Gruyère, a Poulet de Provence baguette, Bœuf Bourguignon to-go, or a timeless slice of cheesecake.

Clearly, we love the unique vibe and flair they bring to the neighborhood.

Jordaan | All-day | Vibrant | Good Food

Dinette has settled into our favorite street in the Jordaan and brings the kind of laid-back energy we love. From the same passionate team behind Verlan and Mata Hari, this spot nails it: good food and drinks without the fuss, fair prices, and a buzzing, easygoing vibe.

Open from 17:00 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and all day from Thursday through Sunday. Start your morning with a proper coffee, ease into a slow lunch, drop by for bites and wine, or head upstairs for a cozy dinner with friends, Dinette’s got you covered.

On weekends, the bar gets lively. Stay for cocktails, and who knows… you might even meet someone new. We love the crowd!Oh, and a little gem of a fun fact: big part of the interior is vintage sourced and comes from an auction, for example, the upstairs walls are covered in vintage headboards from the ’60s. Charming, right? It’s those little touches that make Dinette feel effortlessly cool.

FYR, where the four elements meet fine dining.

Hidden in the Czaar Peterbuurt, FYR is an intimate gem where pure ingredients meet elemental cooking. Inspired by fire, earth, air, and water, chef-owner Elian transforms seasonal produce into bold, wood-fired dishes full of unexpected flavor.

The vibe? Stylish yet warm, the kind of place you don’t want to leave. The menu changes every other week, keeping things fresh and exciting, with quality you can taste in every bite.

We skipped the booze and didn’t miss a thing: think elegant, alcohol-free bubbly infused with tea extract and surprising local drinks that pair perfectly with the food.

From miso-glazed leeks with smoked egg yolk to perfectly cooked fish and playful desserts, FYR reminded us exactly why we love food.

Plus, they also have an amazing private dining area with own bar!

City Center | 25+ | After-Dinner Club | 21:00 till late

Tuftuf, the 25+ after-dinner club you didn’t know you were missing in Amsterdam! It’s the perfect in-between: not quite a kroeg, not quite a club, open from 21:00 till late (not your average 9 to 5). The glossy bar, mirrored backbar and disco ball ceiling definitely make a statement. Chic, timeless, and just the right amount of extra.

But what’s upstairs? Another amazing space that we might even love a little more... so don’t forget to sneak a peek!

Tucked away on the picturesque Bloemgracht, Café de Muurbloem has recently opened its doors, bringing warmth and charm back to this beautiful spot. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a great glass of wine, a well-crafted cocktail, and delicious bites, all in a cozy yet vibrant setting.
